CONTINENTAL’S MOST SUSTAINABLE CAR TIRE WINS TIRE TEST OF POLISH MAGAZINE “MOTOR”
The UltraContact NXT, Continental’s most sustainable passenger car tire to date, took first place in this year’s summer tire test for electric vehicles conducted by the Polish trade magazine “Motor” (issue 12/25). The editorial team tested a total of seven models from international manufacturers in size 205/55 R 16 on a Nissan Leaf. The test team considered tire models that achieved at least the highest “A” rating in the EU tire label’s criteria for rolling resistance and wet braking. An Asian import tire with an “A” rating for rolling resistance and a “B” rating for wet braking was used as an additional comparison product.
In the test, the UltraContact NXT impressed with maximum safety on all surfaces, high driving precision and very good handling characteristics. It outperformed its competitors on both wet and dry asphalt, winning the overall competition.”We are delighted that the UltraContact NXT has already won the second independent press test this year,” says Continental Tire Expert Andreas Schlenke. “The tire not only impresses with its high share of sustainable materials, but also offers top performance and safety.”
Sustainable And Safe Driving Characteristics
In addition to its test successes, the UltraContact NXT has already won several industry awards since its launch for its highly innovative combination of sustainability and performance. These include the Swiss Automotive Show Innovation Award 2023, the International Design Award 2023, the German Innovation Award 2024, the CLEPA Innovation Award 2024 and the Sustainability Award in Automotive 2025.
