GOODYEAR TO BECOME SPONSOR AND SOLE TIRE SUPPLIER OF THE TGP CHAMPIONSHIP
The TGP Championship will rely on a proven partner for its inaugural 2026 season, with Goodyear named as the official single tire supplier for the new German truck racing series. Goodyear will supply all teams with race tires, ensuring a level playing field across the grid while meeting the highest standards of safety and performance.

The partnership continues a long-standing relationship between Goodyear and ETRA Promotion GmbH. Goodyear has been the exclusive tire supplier to the Goodyear FIA ETRC (European Truck Racing Championship) for more than 20 years and has played a key role in developing modern truck racing tires.
“Goodyear knows truck racing inside out,” said Janine Meyer, Operations Director at ETRA Promotion GmbH. “Our partnership in the Goodyear FIA ETRC has underlined the value of a strong technical supplier, and we’re very pleased to continue our collaboration into the TGP Championship.”
“Truck racing places exceptionally high technical demands on tires, and our long‑standing involvement in the Goodyear FIA ETRC has given us deep experience in this environment,” said Xavier Fraipont, Vice President Global Racing at Goodyear. “We are pleased to extend our truck racing footprint to the TGP Championship as it launches in Germany, where we will provide a high‑performance racing tire to the teams that supports consistent and competitive racing.”
Sustainability is also a key pillar of the partnership. Together, Goodyear and ETRA are driving innovations that improve performance while reducing environmental impact.

In 2025, Goodyear introduced a new truck racing tire made from 55% sustainable materials — a significant step towards more sustainable motorsport. The development reflects a broader ambition to deliver high-performance solutions that meet both the demands of racing and growing environmental expectations.
Goodyear is also advancing circular-economy initiatives, with used racing tires retreaded in its factory in Germany and repurposed for commercial transport applications, helping to reduce waste and maximize resource efficiency.
The TGP Championship will make its debut in May 2026, bringing truck racing to Germany’s major circuits with events at the Hockenheimring, Lausitzring and Nürburgring.
