FALKEN EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ADAC RAVENOL 24H NÜRBURGRING UNTIL 2028
Falken has been a fixture at the legendary Nürburgring 24h race since 1999, and now enjoys the status of being ‘a regular’ thanks to its 25 years of participation. Owing to Falken’s special relationship with the circuit, the tyre brand has officially extended its contract with the organisers of the race that runs around the classic Nordschleife, until 2028.
Falken’s presence at the track isn’t just important in terms of the race itself, but also in the hearts of the thousands of spectators who flock to the event each year – with its pair of teal and blue Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) being huge crowd-pleasers. Additional highlights such as the Falken Drift Show – during which its own team and other notable names from the sport show off their skills – have also become a staple with fans.
The extension of the partnership between Falken and the organisers of the 24h race underscores its long-term commitment to, and enthusiasm for, motor racing. This collaboration allows Falken to continue testing and showcasing its innovative technologies and tyre technologies in the most challenging of conditions. And, of course, the fans can also look forward to more thrilling races together with Falken over the years to come.
“We are extremely pleased that in Falken, we have a partner whom we have come to appreciate in every respect,” says ADAC race manager Walter Hornung. “With its great racing cars, Falken Motorsports is one of the big names at the front of the starting grid. And the brand is also fixture on the 24h weekend, with additional activities that the fans simply love. I also think it’s great news for the fans that this strong partner will continue to accompany us over the years to come.”
Managing director, president and CSO Markus Bögner signed the contract on behalf of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH, explaining: “As a company that always aims to do its very best and achieve an excellent performance, we have been part of the 24h race at the Nürburgring since 1999. We have more than earned our reputation as a high-performance brand with our intensive and successful commitment to this prestigious race. We are thrilled to be able to continue to be part of this outstanding event in the coming years and to demonstrate our capabilities here.”
The news follows another successful weekend for Falken on the Nordschleife, as the #3 car of Alessio Picariello and Klaus Bachler claimed victory in NLS5 – marking the fifth win of the year for the Japanese tyre brand.
