PIRELLI DEVELOPS BESPOKE P ZERO FOR BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET
Pirelli has developed a bespoke 22-inch P Zero tyre for the new BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET, designed to support the performance requirements of the V12-powered Grand Tourer at speeds of up to 360 km/h.
Pirelli is the exclusive 22-inch tyre supplier for the new BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET. Developed specifically for the model, the bespoke P Zero is also available for the Coupé version and has been engineered to provide grip at high speeds while maintaining the comfort and steering precision required by BRABUS.

Joint Development with BRABUS
The BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET is the open-top counterpart to the German brand’s high-performance Gran Turismo Coupé and is dedicated to company founder Bodo Buschmann.
During the tyre development process, Pirelli engineers worked closely with BRABUS to adapt the P Zero to the vehicle’s specific technical characteristics, including its chassis set-up, wheel dimensions and V12 engine performance.
The development focused particularly on the tyre’s construction, tread pattern and compound, with the aim of balancing high-speed performance, steering precision, stability and comfort.
Joern Gander, CTO of BRABUS, said: “The successful development of this 22-inch tyre combination, created together with Pirelli, underlines our ambition to perfectly harmonise maximum performance, precision and driving dynamics with the BRABUS BODO, right down to the smallest detail.”
From Simulation to Track Testing
Pirelli used advanced virtualisation and simulation technologies during development, allowing engineers to optimise different tyre characteristics and assess their behaviour against the vehicle’s specifications before physical testing.
This was followed by a joint testing programme at the Papenburg test track in Germany, where engineers evaluated handling and high-speed performance and further refined the tyre to suit the characteristics of the BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET.
Bespoke Design and Specifications
Design was also considered during development. The tyre features Pirelli’s high-contrast sidewall, complementing the vehicle’s 22-inch wheel configuration.
The bespoke P Zero carries a “BB” marking on its sidewall to identify its specific development for the BRABUS BODO CABRIOLET.
The tyre is available in 285/30 ZR22 XL for the front axle and 335/25 ZR22 XL for the rear axle.
