PETLAS INTRODUCES PTXMD51 FOR UNDERGROUND MINING APPLICATIONS

Petlas Tire Corporation has expanded its off-the-road product range with the introduction of
PtxMD51, a new L-5 type tire developed for underground mining loaders and trucks operating insevere service conditions.

Designed with an extra deep tread and an all-steel radial construction, PtxMD51 is built to perform in environments where wear, impact, and cut risks are consistently high. The tire features a specially developed tread compound that provides strong resistance against cuts and chips, while its reinforced structure (combining steel belts with a radial steel carcass) ensures high impact resistance under heavy loads and harsh operating conditions.

A solid center structure enhances durability and resistance, while shoulder grooves support
traction and help maintain stability. This balanced design enables consistent performance in
underground operations where reliability is critical.
