PRINX CHENGSHAN LAUNCHES GIANT OTR PRODUCTION

PRINX Chengshan has reached a major industrial milestone with the successful production of its first Giant Off-the-Road (OTR) tyre, the 30.00R51. This achievement marks the Group’s formal entry into the ultra-large mining tyre segment and represents a key step in expanding the PRINX brand into high-end industrial applications worldwide, including Europe.

The milestone was achieved at PRINX Chengshan’s newly developed green and intelligent OTR manufacturing facility, where company management and local authorities witnessed the roll-off of the first tyre. The launch underlines the Group’s long-term strategy to strengthen its premium, technology-driven product portfolio and advance PRINX as a full-spectrum tyre brand across passenger, commercial, and industrial segments.

The successful production of the 30.00R51 significantly enhances PRINX Chengshan’s engineering capabilities in large-size, high-performance OTR tyres—placing the company among a limited group of global manufacturers capable of producing Giant OTR products for demanding mining environments.

Designed for Extreme Mining Applications

With an outer diameter approaching three metres and a weight of approximately 1.8 tonnes, the 30.00R51 is developed for ultra-large rigid dump trucks operating in open-pit mining environments.

The tyre features an optimised tread and advanced cooling design to deliver reliable traction, effective heat management, and stable performance under extreme loads—supporting operational safety while helping mining operators improve durability and total cost of ownership.

Strategic Expansion of the PRINX Brand into Giant OTR

Beyond production capability, the launch of the 30.00R51 marks the next phase in the global expansion of the PRINX brand into the Giant OTR segment. Building on its established presence in Europe across passenger car and commercial tyres, PRINX will progressively introduce large-size OTR solutions designed for mining, port logistics, and heavy infrastructure applications.

Supported by the PRINX Europe Tech Center in Hannover, Germany, and aligned with European performance and sustainability standards, the Giant OTR programme strengthens PRINX’s positioning as a comprehensive mobility and industrial tyre provider. Entering the 30.00R51 category places PRINX Chengshan among a select group of manufacturers capable of supplying ultra-large mining tyres—reflecting advanced engineering competence, smart manufacturing maturity, and long-term commitment to high-end industrial markets.

Industry 4.0 and Sustainable Manufacturing at the Core

Driven by growing global infrastructure investment and mining sector modernisation, PRINX Chengshan began construction of its green and intelligent OTR factory in 2025. The project represents a total investment exceeding RMB 1.1 billion and covers more than 100,000 square metres. Once fully operational, the facility will provide annual capacity of 84,000 engineering tyres and 10,000 Giant OTR tyres for applications spanning mining, construction, ports, airports, agriculture, and industrial operations.

The facility integrates advanced automation, digitalised production systems, and energy-efficient infrastructure, including rooftop solar power generation. The project reflects PRINX Chengshan’s implementation of Industry 4.0 principles and its commitment to reducing environmental impact while delivering high-performance products.
