GOODYEAR ANNOUNCES SKU EXPANSION FOR ULTRAGRIP PERFORMANCE 3 THROUGHOUT 2024

Goodyear has announced that it will continue the expansion of its premium winter tire, UltraGrip Performance 3. The award-winning tire has proven its excellent performance across Europe with cutting-edge technology.

Throughout 2024, more than 40 new SKUs will enter the market, with many already available to customers. The significant increase will boost Goodyear’s addressable market for winter tires, as well as reflecting its focus on the segment.

Overall, 90% of the new UltraGrip Performance 3 sizes are 19-inch and above, in response to market trends shifting to larger rim sizes.  The tire is optimized to fit a wide range of modern vehicles including popular EVs (e.g. Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer, Renault 5 E-Tech, Porsche Taycan and BMW i5). Like all Goodyear tires, UltraGrip Performance 3 is EV-ready thanks to special features which improve efficiency and reduces interior noise, making it ideal for the very latest vehicles coming to market.

Class-Leading Technology 

Goodyear UltraGrip Performance 3 represents exceptional grip and performance for winter driving. Its performance derives from Goodyear innovations such as Snow Protect Technology and Wet Grip+ Technology, which optimize the tire for the winter driving season.

The tire is exemplary in extreme winter conditions, with its winter performance having won a number of European tire tests, including those conducted by Auto Bild in 2023, where it was awarded “Eco-Master” and “Green Tire” of 2023/24.

What’s more, the tire not only delivers exceptional performance, but also offers comfort and convenience. Goodyear SoundComfort technology dampens road noise for a quieter driving experience, while Goodyear SealTech can effectively seal tread penetrations of up to 5mm in diameter, giving drivers greater convenience.
